Leaders of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Bahrain met in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh to discuss the Palestinian issue. The meeting is at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. The leaders also expressed their support for the upcoming emergency Arab League summit, scheduled to take place in Cairo on March 4. The United Nations estimates that rebuilding the Gaza Strip would cost more than $53 billion. The U.N. estimates that the cost of rebuilding Gaza would be at least $2.5 billion, with the majority of the money going to the Israeli government. The UN estimates that it would take more than a year to rebuild the Gaza Gaza Strip, which has been in ruins since the start of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza in 2007. The cost of the reconstruction is expected to be in the region of $1.5 to $2 billion. It is not known if the meeting will result in any action being taken by the United Nations.
