A 36-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death when he tried to force himself on her late Friday night in the city of Lucknow. The man was rushed to the hospital, with seven stab wounds in the chest and upper abdomen area, where he succumbed. The victim Shavez (42) was a property dealer. The accused – Razia – told the police that Shavez usually returned home drunk and would sexually assault her on a regular basis. On Friday night when an inebriated Shavez tried to Force himself on Razia, she stabbed him with a kitchen knife in a fit of rage. The couple have a son, 14, and they live with Shavez’s parents in Lucknow’s Ghazipur district, where the crime took place. They had had frequent disputes in recent months, though they typically reconciled quickly, according to family members of the victim. A blood-stained knife was found in the wash basin, along with other blood-soaked items such as clothes, bedsheets, cotton, and cabbage leaves.
