A rare cosmic event of Total Lunar Eclipse is going to happen on March 14, 2025, which is coinciding with the Holi, the festival of colors. On this day, the moon will turn a deep crimson color during the eclipse which will be called as Blood Moon. Since the Moon will be at its furthest point from Earth, it will look somewhat smaller than usual during this Micro Moon Eclipse. This is to be noted that unfortunately, Indian Skywatchers would not be able to witness this celestial event because the eclipse will occur during the day. However, skywatchers in North and South America, Western Africa, and Western Europe will get the best views of this event. The full lunar eclipse is scheduled to begin late at night on March 13, 2025 and continue until the early hours of the next day. The most spectacular phase, totality, will take place from 2:26 AM to 3:31 AM EDT (06:26 to 07:31 UTC) The entire eclipse, including the partial and penumbral phases, will end by 6:00 AM EDT.
