Adarsh Gourav visited the real-life setting that inspired the story of Superboys of Malegaon. He spent an entire day with Nasir Shaikh, the person on whom the film is based. The experience proved to be deeply emotional, strengthening the bond between the character and the real life inspiration. The film is set to release in cinemas on February 28 across India, the US, UK, UAE, Australia, and New Zealand. It has already garnered widespread acclaim, having made its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) It has also been showcased at renowned global events such as the 68th BFI London Film Festival and the Red Sea International film Festival. Most recently, Superboys received a Young Cineastes Special Mention at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film festival. The movie is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
