The former councilor and four other accused are already in jail, and the police have secured a production warrant for four others who are set to appear in court next week. The bandh has been called by the Sarva Hindu Samaj community, which is made up of over 130 organisations. The group is demanding strict action against the accused and a CBI investigation into the case where minors were raped and blackmailed.
