The American sprinter said that he spoke to Hills for the first time following the Indoor Grand Prix. The telephone conversation between the two athletes affirmed that they were serious about facing each other and therefore agreed to the race. “So Tyreek better be ready, because if a world record gets dropped on his head, he ain’t gonna be able to hear nothing,’ said Lyles in the conversation with Hill.
