Chennai-based EV startup Raptee.HV is in the ‘middle of a $19 million fundraise’ The company announced ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) certification for its electric two-wheeler T30 with high voltage technology. The company currently produces out of a 4.5-acre facility in Manapakkam, has a current capacity of 1500 units a month. expansion will happen “at least a year” says CEO Dinesh Arjun, CEO & co-founder, Raptee,HV. The firm raised its previous round of capital in Oct ’23 led by Blue Hill Capital and Artha 99 along with a few Indian and International family offices, it said.. The startup is currently focused on putting its first vehicle on the road and there’s a lot of resources held up in that, says Arjun. It is also looking to expand its production capacity to 9,000 units per month.
