Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta urged PWD minister Satish Jarkiholi to prepare a DPR for the Outer Ring Road. Mangaluru is the second largest city in Karnataka and holds strategic importance as the only city in the state with three modes of transport. The MP also proposed the construction of a spur road connecting NH-75 and NH-275 (Periyashanthi to Paichar) This will enhance connectivity for lakhs of devotees visiting Shri Kshetra Subrahmanya temple, he said. He also requested expediting the DPR preparation for widening NH- 275 from Mani to Sampaje. He requested PWD Minister Satish Jarakiholi. to personally intervene to expedite the pending DPR and resolve other issues pertaining to Shiradi Ghat road. This would significantly accelerate the much-needed approvals for this strategic corridor, MP Chowta said. The road will be a crucial transit point for travellers from Kerala, Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mumbai.
