Darshan Thoogudeepa’s much-awaited film ‘The Devil’ is back in the spotlight. The film also stars Rachana Rai, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Vinay Gowda in key roles. Production reportedly came to a halt after his arrest on June 11, 2024, in connection with an alleged murder case. With a significant portion of the shoot left unfinished, the project remained in limbo for months. The Devil is expected to mark Darshan’s big-screen comeback, making it one of the most anticipated Kannada films of the year. It is directed by Prakash Veer and is set to be released in the year 2023, with a release date yet to be announced. It also stars B Ajaneesh Loknath in the lead role, and is being co-written by Jadesh Kumar Hampi, Maasthi Upaarahalli, and Tarun Sudhir.
