David Tennant’s monologue at the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards was edited by the BBC. Some jokes about Donald Trump were removed from the final broadcast. The event was pre-recorded two hours before airing. The BBC explained that time constraints made it necessary to trim parts of the show before it aired. Despite the edits, some of Tennant’s Trump-related humor was included in theFinal broadcast of the 25th BAFTA Awards on February 16, 2025. The films Conclave and The Brutalist both secured four awards each, with Adrien Brody winning Best Actor and Brady Corbet earning Best Director. Actress Mikey Madison surprised many by winning Best Actress for Anora, while Jesse Eisenberg took home Best Original Screenplay for A Real Pain.
