Delhi: PWD Minister Parvesh Verma orders probe into CCTV installation by AAP govt. Investigation will be conducted into why CCTV cameras were not installed in eight constituencies represented by BJP MLAs during the previous AAP government. Verma assured the House that necessary action would be taken to ensure that political bias does not come in the way of implementation of security measures like CCTV installation. The AAP government purchased 1.40 lakh cameras for installation across all constituencies, yet these eight seats were excluded, according to the claims of some BJP legislators. The matter will be investigated, and officers responsible will face consequences if found guilty, Verma asserted in the Delhi Assembly. The investigation will be carried out by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) into the matter. The probe is expected to be completed by the end of the month. The results of the inquiry will be announced in the next few days. The report will be made available to the public at a cost of around Rs. 1,000,000.
