Fire broke out at a firecracker shop in Jharkhand’s Garhwa on Monday. The cause of the blaze has not yet been ascertained, police said. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed grief over the loss of life in the incident. The fire broke out while crackers were being sold on a wooden platform in the shop, a police officer said. The case is being investigated by the district administration, he added. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital in neighbouring Chhattisgarh, where doctors declared them dead, he said.
