Former Chief Minister and Kalkaji legislator Atishi was elected as the leader of the AAP legislature party by 22 MLAs. Atishi thanks Kejriwal for setting up an all-woman clash in Delhi Assembly. The proceedings are set to be dominated by all-women clashes for the first time since 1993. The proposal to elect Atishi as leader of AAP in the Assembly was moved by Sanjeev Jha and seconded and endorsed by Kuldeep Kumar and Jarnail Singh. The BJP has 48 and the AAP has 22 ML as in the House. The vote for Atishi to lead the opposition in the new 70-member Delhi Assembly took place on the eve of the first session of the new Delhi Assembly, which will be held on February 23. The results of the vote will be announced on February 25. The election of Atishi is expected to take place in the next few days.
