Gordon Cordeiro was convicted in the 1994 killing of Timothy Blaisdell. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The judge ruled there was insufficient evidence to show that the state intentionally used false testimony and rejected a claim of prosecutorial misconduct.. \”None of the judge’s findings exonerate him in any way,\” the Prosecuting Attorney’s office said in a statement. \”He believed that he was going to be exonerated … but having gone through two trials, you lose faith in the justice system,\” an attorney said. \”I’d like to go see my mom,\” he said after being released from prison. \”Would be nice,\” he added, \”I got good support\” in the wake of his release. \”Freedom Friday\” is the day he plans to visit his mother.
