Jagdish Reddy made the remarks during a discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s address. The BRS leader and former minister defended his remarks and claimed that he spoke nothing wrong. The Speaker also found fault with JagdishReddy’s remarks and said he spoke against the traditions of the house. The House witnessed sharp exchanges between the members of the ruling and the main opposition party, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) over the issue.Amid the pandemonium, the Speaker adjourned the House and called for a vote of no confidence in both the Congress and the BRS. The vote was eventually called off and the Speaker returned to his seat to continue the session. The next session of the Telangana Assembly will be held on March 14. The speaker will then decide whether or not to hold a vote on a motion of no-confidence in either the B RS or the Congress. The current session is expected to last until March 16.
