Kate Winslet is all set to make her feature film directorial debut with the Netflix family drama Goodbye June. She will also co-produce the movie with Kate Solomon and she will also star in it. The cast will include Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, and Helen Mirren. The screenplay has been written by Joe Anders, the son of Kate Winslet and her ex-husband Sam Mendes, which adds a personal connection to the project. The Titanic actress, recently starred in the biographical film Lee, where she portrayed war correspondent and photographer Lee Miller. The film garnered critical acclaim, earning Winslet a Golden Globe nomination, while it also received a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding British Film. Additionally, Winslet was recognized for her role in the HBO limited series The Regime, for which she earned yet another Golden Globes nomination. She believes that as more women step into directing roles, it will inspire others to follow suit, ultimately transforming the industry.
