Madhu Chopra recalled an incident where Priyanka was asked to attend a private narration with a director who insisted that her mother step out. “She was very young and came from a very protective environment. We had heard that Bollywood wasn’t always a safe space, and she is our only daughter, so we didn’t want to take any chances,” she said. The actress is gearing up for her Hollywood films Heads of State and The Bluff. She has also collaborated with SS Rajamouli for his next big film alongside Mahesh Babu. \”I always told her that if you behave like a chawanni (25 cents), people will see you like that. But if you make yourself a rupee, people will value you and not treat you like trash,\” she said of her daughter’s early struggles in Bollywood.
