Mohammed Nishal, 25, from Kozhikode sexually assaulted her twice. Nishal has similar cases registered against him in multiple police stations. He was arrested by Kalamassery police on Saturday and later produced before a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody. The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault. He also allegedly threatened to send the content to her husband, police stated. He has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman he met through social media, police said on Sunday. The case is being investigated by the Kerala Police and the National Commission for Women (NCW), which is investigating the alleged rape of a woman on social media site YouTuber, Facebook and Twitter.
