Mumbai Cyber Cell has rejected comedian Samay Raina’s request to provide his statement through video conferencing. Officials have directed Raina to appear in person to record his statement on Tuesday, February 18. Raina is currently in the U.S. for his stand-up tour. India’s Got Latent faced backlash over an inappropriate remark made by Ranveer Allahbadia in its latest episode. He posed a disturbing question to a contestant: \”Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or join in once to stop it forever?\” Raina and Apoorva Mukhija were seen laughing at the remark, and the episode also featured the use of explicit language. This sparked outrage among netizens, who criticized the creators for promoting and normalizing vulgarity on a public platform. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cyber cell has filed an FIR against Raina, YouTuber Ranveers Allah Badia, and others, accusing them of promoting obscenity and vulgarity online through their show.
