PM Modi gifts Banarasi saree to Mauritius President’s wife. The saree, in an elegant royal blue shade, is traditionally worn on grand occasions such as weddings and festivals. PM Modi also gifted Gangajal from the Maha Kumbh to President Gokhool. He was in Mauritius for the country’S National Day celebration. It was also the first time PM Modi had visited the island nation since becoming Prime Minister in May 2013. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the President of Mauritius and the Prime Minister of India, Ravi Shankar Prasad, and other dignitaries.
