Ric Flair has had a few health scares in the past and had to cancel an appearance at a wrestling event recently. The 16-time WWE champion who is also known as The Nature Boy, spent 40 years in the spotlight. Flair made a name in wrestling in the 1970s and has been an unstoppable force ever since. He is famous for his flamboyant persona and get-up and won eight NWA World Heavyweight Championships. His daughter Charlotte Flair is also an accomplished wrestler, and Ric often uses social media to hype up his daughter before her fights. He also often talks about his struggle with addiction. In March of 2013, Flair’s son Reid died of a heroin overdose at 25. He went through a phase of alcohol addiction post the tragedy and finally went to rehab in 2015, only to start drinking again a month later. Two years later doctors gave him a shocking prognosis and gave him about a 20 percent survival rate. However, he recovered gradually.
