Stunt choreographer Todor Lazarov has also worked in Oscar winning film RRR. Lazarov is known for his intense action sequences in Game of Thrones, Troy, and Zero Dark 30. Team Kantara paid tribute to Lazarov with his photo and celebrated his remarkable talent, tireless work ethic, and pivotal role in crafting Kantara’s intense action scenes. The team also thanked him for his smooth collaboration, which enhanced the film’s visual grandeur. The prequel, starring Rishab Shetty, follows the massive success of Kantara, which shattered box office records to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of the year. Kantara: Chapter 1 is scheduled to release on 2nd October 2025 and will be directed by Ravi Agrawal and produced by Hombale Films. The film will be released in Karnataka, Tamil, Telugu, and Bhojpuri, with a Hindi release scheduled for the end of the month and a Telugu release in the month of December.
