The accident took place near the Kala Bakra area in Jalandhar when the bus was going to Jammu from Rajasthan. Police said the bus driver and a passenger were killed on the spot while two passengers died in the hospital. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed grief over the death of passengers in the accident. He also lauded the efforts of the ‘Sadak Surakhya Force’ (road safety force) of the Punjab Police for helping the injured. The bus rammed into a brick-laden tractor-trolley on a village road, police said. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, said police. The incident took place on the Jal andhar-Pathankot highway in Punjab’s JalandHar district on Monday. The accident is being investigated by Punjab Police’s Traffic and Traffic Investigation Cell, a police spokesman said. He added that the driver and passenger of the bus were among those killed in the crash. The driver was from Jammu and the passenger was from Punjab, he said.
