The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, will embark on a state visit to India on February 17-18. He will hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Saturday. The visit is expected to strengthen the \”growing multifaceted partnership\” between India and Qatar. The Amir will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials, and a business contingent. The government highlighted the deep-rooted historical ties between Qatar and India, emphasizing a relationship built on \”friendship, trust, and mutual respect\” This marks his second state visit, following his earlier trip in March 2015. He is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi, with discussions expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and emerging technologies. The MEA said the visit will take place at the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and will be held between February 17 and 18, 2025.
