The Indian Army continued its impressive run on the penultimate day of the Khelo India Winter Games here on Tuesday, clinching four medals. The Army quartet of Narsingh Thapa, Rajeshwar Singh, Sunil Rai, and Vishal Chandal clinched the ski mountaineering men’s relay with a timing of 49:58.1 to grab the limelight. With seven gold, five silver, and six bronze medals, Army are on top of the standings, one ahead of Himachal Pradesh, who clinched seven medals on the day to jump to the second spot on the medals tally. Women skiers from Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) continued their dominance in the Nordic skiing event, clinched all three medals on offer in the sprint category. Kusum Rana clinched her second gold in the women’s Alpine skiing event with a time of 06:40.59. Karnani Thekkada took the silver, followed by Selma Sorengada, who finished third.
