The one-year Bachelor of Education and Master of Education programmes will be introduced in 2026-27. The two-year MEd programme was introduced in 2015 but did not achieve the desired impact on teacher training. Not all graduates will be eligible for the one- year BEd programme, as specific criteria have been set by the NCTE. The existing two- year MEd program will continue to be available for working professionals, including teachers and education leaders who wish to complete their MEd alongside their jobs. The revised MEd curriculum will include research components and hands-on community engagement tasks. It will be a full-time, regular course. The new BEd course will require candidates to meet specific academic qualifications: Bachelors in Education (BEd) and BSc (Ed) in Education. The course will be available from academic session 2026 to 2027. It is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. It costs £1,500 per week.
