The Sensex finished at 75,996.86, up by 57.65 points from its previous close. The Nifty ended the day 30.25 points or 0.13 per cent higher at 22,959.50. The broader markets also saw a recovery in the second half of the trading day. The Sensex touched an intra-day high of 76,041.96, while the Nifty Midcap100 index closed with a gain of 0.39 per cent. Last week, both indices ended their two-week winning streak with significant losses. The index traded between 22.974.20 and 22,725.45 during the session. The top gainers were Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, Power Grid and IndusInd Bank. Mahindra & Mahindr, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, TCS, and ICICI Bank were among the major losers, with their shares falling as much as 3.45 per. cent.
