The three-day workshop ‘Kathakku Pinnil’ which was held from March 7 to 9 at Gokulam Park Hotel, Ernakulam, has concluded. The work shop was conducted as a tribute to the late screenwriter and director Dennis Joseph. The event featured masterclasses by renowned filmmakers and screenwriters, including Saabu John, B. Unnikrishnan, Sanjay, A.K. Sajan, Aju C. Narayanan, Shyam Pushkaran, Tarun Murthy, Jofin T. Chacko, Vidhu Vincent, Joju George, Anoop Menon, and Anna Ben. ‘As long as you have intelligence, you must keep learning cinema,’ said filmmaker Basil Joseph at the closing ceremony of KathakkuPinnil. The workshop was organized by the FEFKA Writers’ Union in collaboration with Luminar Film Academy. It aimed to empower and instill confidence in the new generation of filmmakers entering the industry. It was inaugurated by actress Manju Warrier and was attended by notable directors and writers such as Jinu Abraham, Jose Thomas, Balachandran Chullikkad and Benny P. Nayarambalam.
