Two students found dead at Ashoka University in Sonepat, Haryana. First student, 20, allegedly jumped from 10th floor of university building. Second student, 19, found unresponsive near the university’s main gate. Police are conducting investigations in both cases, including recording statements from students and staff, and examining the personal, academic, and social backgrounds of the deceased. The university has extended its deepest condolences to the families of the students during this difficult time, says vice-Chancellor Somak Raychaudhury. He adds that the university is fully cooperating with local authorities during the investigations. The post-mortem will give clarity on the cause of death, says deputy commissioner of police (crime) Narender Kadiyan, according to a report in Hindustan Times. \”We are not certain whether it is a case of suicide or murder,\” he said, adding that the post-mortems will determine the exact causes of death. The second student was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
