I am really happy people are still watching the film and talking,’ says the ace director of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV), who completed 15 years on the big screen recently. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Shashank Joshi, who is also the author of the book, ‘The Secret Life of the Indian Moviegoer’. The novel was written by Joshi and published by Penguin Books, a division of Penguin Books India.
