Kannada actor director Rishab Shetty known for his outstanding role in ‘Kantara,’ is set to portray the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the upcoming historical drama. The film, directed by Sandeep Singh, is slated for a global release on January 21, 2027. The latest news regarding the film shares about lyricist Prasoon Joshi and music composer Pritam to be collaborating for the first time on this project. Shetty himself has stated his excitement for the project, acknowledging Chhatrapeati Shivaj as a national hero whose impact transcends history. He is also starring in Prasanth Varma’s ‘Jai Hanuman’ playing the lead role of Lord Hanuman.
