A clash broke out between two communities during a religious procession in Bihar’s Jamui. Three persons were injured in the clash in Jhajha on Sunday. Nine people were arrested in this connection, Jamui District Magistrate Abhilasha Sharma said. A police official has also been suspended for dereliction of duty, she said. The state government has suspended internet services in the district until February 18, the DM added. The situation is now \”fully under control,\” she said, adding that a case has been registered against 50-60 unidentified individuals, the official said. It is not yet known if the incident will lead to any more arrests, she added, saying that the situation was under control at the time. The district police conducted a flag march on Monday to ensure the situation does not escalate further, the district magistrate said, and a case was registered against the 50- 60 unidentified individuals. The incident took place during areligious procession in the town of Jamui on Sunday, she told PTI.
