Bunny Vas, who bet big on the film, has now said, “We promised, we did it.” The film, which hit screens on February 7 this year, was directed by Chandoo Mondeti, and based on a true story in which 20 Indian fishermen from Andhra Pradesh were captured by Pakistan authorities. National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music for the film. Cinematography for the movie was by Shamdat. Naveen Nooli was the editor, and Srinagendra Tangala led the art department. The film was produced by Bunny Vasu under the banner of Geetha Arts, with Allu Aravind presenting it. ‘Thandel’ had a spectacular crew with national Award-winner Devi Sriprasad score the music. The movie was released in India on 7 February this year. It was released worldwide on 8 February. It has grossed more than Rs 100 crore so far, and is in cinemas across the world.
