Deepika and Araijeet Singh Hundal honoured to be nominated for Hockey India Annual Awards 2024. The two young players have made a significant impact in their respective teams. They have been shortlisted for the Hockey India Asunta Lakra Award for Upcoming Player of the Year (Women – Under 21) and Hockey India Jugraj Singh Award for upcoming player of the year for men. The Hockey India 7th Annual Awards will celebrate outstanding performances from the 2024 season, featuring a record prize pool of approximately Rs 12 crore. The event will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of India’s historic 1975 World Cup victory and mark 100 years of Indian hockey’s affiliation with the International Hockey Federation (FIH), according to a statement from Hockey India. The awards will be held in New Delhi on March 15, 2024, and the winners will be announced on March 16, 2024.
