‘Dragon,’ starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role hit the theatres yesterday marking its opening day at the box office. On its first day, February 21, 2025, ‘Dragon’ collected an impressive Rs 6 crore across India. The movie follows Ragavan Dhanapal, a bright student who transforms into a troublemaker after being rejected by his crush for not being rebellious enough. This relatable storyline resonates particularly well with young viewers. After completing its theatrical run, ‘ dragon’ will be available for streaming on Netflix. The film was released alongside Dhanush’s directorial film ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK),’ which also hit theatres on February 21 but had a relatively modest opening of Rs 1-2 crore gross. ‘ Dragon’ is also released as ‘Return of Dragon’ in Telugu regions. Interestingly, this film marks Pradeeps highest opening yet, surpassing his previous blockbuster ‘Love Today,’ which earned Rs 2.85 crore on its debut.
