Holi 2025: Holika Dahan Date, Timing, Puja Vidhi and all you need to know. Also known as Holika Deepak or Chhoti Holi, it is a significant ritual observed on the eve of Holi. It involves burning a bonfire, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Performing it at the wrong time can have negative consequences, while doing it at right time is believed to bring prosperity and good fortune. The Hindu scriptures dictate that it should be performed during Pradosh Kaal, which begins after sunset, while Purnimasi Tithi (full moon) prevails. However, there’s a catch: Bhadra, an inauspicious period, prevails during the first half of PurnIMasi Titi. All auspicious activities should be avoided during Bhadra. The festival of colors will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, and Friday, March 14, 2025. It will be followed by Rangwali Holi on the following day.
