Ranya Rao was arrested while smuggling gold at the Bengaluru International Airport last Monday. A probe is currently underway regarding the actress allegedly smuggling gold illegally from Dubai. The media has reported that two ministers are involved in the case. The current government has also allocated thousands of crores worth of land to the state’s development and the current government is looking into the matter. The actress has been jailed on gold smuggling charges, and is being held at the DRI’s custody in Bengaluru. She has been released on bail and is expected to be released in a few days.
