Munim Madavi, 35, and Bura Razzak, 25, who were working in the ball mill unit, died. There were 31 workers present when the unit was engulfed in a ball of flames. Three others were seriously injured in the blasts in Nagpur’s Katol tehsil Sunday afternoon. The blasts were likely caused by stacked gunpowder and explosive chemicals, police said. The incident occurred at a factory manufacturing fireworks fuses in the city of Nagpur in Uttar Pradesh, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that the explosions were caused by a mix of gunpowder, explosives and other chemicals in the factory’s ball mill. The victims have been identified as MunimMadavi, Madavi’s son-in-law, BuraRazzak and Munim’s daughter- in-law.
