Poonch Police organised an Awareness Programme on New Criminal Laws, Drug Abuse, and Stress Management for the officers and personnel of CRPF 38 Bn at District Police Lines (DPL) Poonch. A special session on drug abuse addressed the rising concerns of substance addiction and its societal impact. Officers were briefed on recognising signs of drug abuse, preventive measures, and strict enforcement strategies to combat the menace. A session on stress management was conducted to help CRPF personnel cope with the psychological challenges of their duties. J&K Police remains committed to conducting regular training and awareness initiatives to empower security personnel and strengthen law enforcement efforts in the region. The sessions were held to ensure that security personnel remain well-informed about recent legal reforms and are equipped to handle challenges related to drug abuse and mental health,” an official said. The session was held at the District Police lines in PoonCh, Jammu and Kashmir, on February 17. The programme was conducted under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Poon ch Shafket Hussain-JKPS. It was a significant initiative aimed at enhancing legal awareness and overall well-being.
