RPF officer saves passenger from falling at Andheri station. RPF Constable S.R. Godara saved a female passenger at Kanpur Central Station. A 50-year-old passenger suffered severe injuries when he fell between the platform and the moving Vidarbha Express while attempting to alight. The passenger, identified as Hindola, was travelling illegally in the express train using a suburban travel pass, attempting to avoid the rush-hour crowd and reach his home in Titwala sooner. Tragically, his legs were severed in the accident. The incident occurred on January 13, when the woman, traveling on the Bhopal-Lucknow-bound Garib Rath Express, lost her balance while deboarding coach G-9 of the moving train. In a similar incident at Kalyan railway station, a man was rescued from falling into the gap between the train and the platform while trying to alighting. The RPF has urged passengers to avoid boarding or alighting from moving trains, as such attempts often lead to serious injuries or fatalities.
