Talks between the US and Ukraine to sign a deal on rare earth minerals appeared to have collapsed after a testy exchange. President Donald Trump and Vice-President J.D. Vance on one side and President Volodymyr Zelensky on the other. A joint news conference the two leaders expected to address had been cancelled as was the lunch that the Americans were hosting for the Ukrainian delegation. The two sides were expected to sign an agreement giving the US rights to Ukraine’s reserves of rareearth minerals in return for its contributions to the war efforts against Russia. President Trump said in a post on Truth Social: \”You are doing very disrespectful this country with World War Three, What you are doing with this country is very disrespectful to this World War War Three\” He also said: \”He can come back when he is ready for Peace\” There was no information if the deal was signed after the exchange in the Oval Office of the White House on Friday afternoon. The White House has not commented on the exchange.
