Telangana to complain against Andhra for excessive utilisation of Krishna water. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asked the Irrigation department officials to lodge a complaint with the Centre. BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao claimed that Andhra Pradesh has already consumed 646 TMC from Krishna, siphoning off 10,000 cusecs per day through the Nagarjuna Sagar right canal for the last three months. He alleged that the state government’s inaction had resulted in Andhra’s free-for-all action. The next three months are very crucial and water demand for irrigation, drinking water and electricity will increase significantly in all parts of the state. The officials should conduct field visits regularly and take action by monitoring the situation, the Chief Minister said, making it clear that all necessary precautions should be taken so that farmers do not face any hurdles and protect the crops in the heat conditions. The Chief Minister also directed officials to release water to crops from various projects in the state as per the plan.
