Woman, 22, stabbed to death by spurned suitor in Banda district. Victim’s family members took matters into their own hands and beat assailant to death. Incident took place in Mahbara village of Pailani tehsil. Rahul Nishad, 24, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the district hospital. The 22-year-old woman got married on December 4, 2024 in the district.. A significant deployment of police and PAC has been made to prevent any further incidents,’ the SP said. The SP added that complaints were received from both sides, and a report was registered, with necessary actions being taken. The woman’s mother, who alerted others, then confronted Rahul and severely beat him. The commotion awakened the woman’s father, who also confronted the assailant. Rahul had entered the house of Mohammad Hussain in Mah Barbara village and killed his married daughter, according to reports. He had removed a roof net at around 1.30am, leading to the woman’s death.
