Afghanistan off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman has been signed by Mumbai Indians. Allah Ghazanfar has been sidelined for the IPL 2025 due to an injury. The 18-year-old Afghan spinner will also miss the forthcoming Champions Trophy due to a fracture in his L4 vertebra. With an economy of about 6.5, MujeeB has taken 330 wickets in more than 300 T20 (international and domestic) matches. He made his IPL debut at the age of 17 and is one of the youngest players to ever represent the Afghanistan national team. The Mumbai Indians paid Rs 4.80 crore to get the promising 18- year-old off- spinner GhazAnfar. The IPL mega auction took place in February. The five-time champion Mumbai Indians have won the tournament five times. The tournament runs from April 14 to May 14. The final will be held at Lord’s in London on May 28. The winner will be crowned the IPP Champions.
