The final session was on February 19-20. The conference was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman. It was the first of its kind in the Middle East. The event was also the first to be held in the Indian Ocean region. It took place in the capital city of Muscat. The last session took place on February 20-21. It is the first time the conference has been held in Oman.
