At least 25 people were killed in two separate bus crashes in Mexico on Monday, authorities said. In Durango state, 14 people died in a fiery collision between a tractor-trailer and a bus carrying passengers from the US state of Texas. In southern Mexico, a bus turned over along a highway in Oaxaca state, killing 11 people.Deadly road accidents are common in Mexico due to high speeds, poor vehicle or road conditions and driver fatigue. The cause of the crash in Durango is still under investigation, civil protection authorities in the state of Durango said. It is not known if any of the dead passengers were from the U.S. or Mexico. The crash is being investigated by the Mexican National Transportation Safety Board. The death toll is expected to rise as the investigation continues, the state government said.
