Dhawan was part of India’s historic Champions Trophy campaign under Dhoni’s leadership in 2013. The 39-year-old made his international debut in 2010. He played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20Is, scoring 2315, 6793, and 1579 runs, respectively. Alongside his international career, Dhawan went on to represent Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Punjab in the Indian Premier League, where he played 222 games while scoring 6,769 runs, which included two centuries and 51 half-centuries. He officially announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket in August last year, after a 13-year career spanning over a decade.
