Azmi was last week suspended from the Maharashtra legislative assembly till the end of the budget session on March 26 over his remarks praising aurangzeb. The tomb is located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region. The previous Congress regime put the site underASI’s protection. The current Maharashtra government is in its third year in power. The state assembly is currently in its second year of a five-year term. The budget session is set to end on March 25. The assembly is expected to pass a budget on March 28. The session will be followed by the state’s assembly elections on March 31.
