Holi is one of the most significant Hindu festivals after Diwali. Holi symbolizes love, unity, and the triumph of good over evil. It marks the arrival of spring and celebrates the divine love of Radha and Krishna. The festival fosters harmony as people from all walks of life come together, forgetting differences and embracing happiness. It is a time to mend relationships, forgive past grievances, and spread love and joy. It also commemorates the victory of Prince Prahlad over his tyrannical father, King Hiranyakashipu, with the help of Lord Vishnu. In Barsana, the famous Lathmar Holi takes place, where women playfully hit men with sticks in a unique and joyful tradition. The main day of Holi is filled with colors, music, and laughter. On the morning of Rangwali Holi, streets, parks, and homes come alive with people playing, singing, and dancing. The day is also called Dhulandi or Dhulendi, with variations like Dhuleti and Dhulheti in different regions. In South India, this ritual is referred to as Kama Dahanam.
