JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar have officially merged to form a new platform called JioHotstar. This merger is part of a collaboration between Viacom18 and Star India. The company said that Jio hotstar will offer nearly 3 lakh hours of entertainment, unmatched live sports coverage, and cater to over 50 crore users. Existing Disney+. Monthly plan can only be purchased via web browser. Jio Hotstar is free to access for now, meaning users can stream the content without a subscription. For example, if you have subscribed to a Disney+HotStar annual plan and it expires in September 2025, you will be freely upgraded to the JIOHotstar plan till it lasts. Similarly, users can enjoy their plan on JioColdstar till the plan lasts.
